Jack's Recovery

Hi,

We have to clean his wound with some solution and it may stink him a bit if wound is still raw or bleeding a bit. Then I have to put some antiseptic or antibiotic white powder on it.

The wound attracted flies during the day and while I try to chase them away or swat a few, it was a daunting task.

I tried bandaging it with some cotton gauze but it moved as I am not supposed to tie it too tight and suffocate the wound, as advised by the vet.

A friend visited us and she suggested that we get an old T-shirt for Jack to wear, so we have a go at it. Initially, Jack was not used to it.

We used one of Jason's old singlet and it seems to work but not perfect but did a better job than the bandage.

Jack tried to scratch it with his hind leg or bite it off but the collar was in the way. Not very effective as it may still move.

Will replace it with an old T-shirt tomorrow.....

David
