We bought this cloth bone or also known as multi-color rope bone for Jack to bite on when he was teething.
This is readily available at the pet shops else you can shop online by referring to the list of items that I recommended on the right column on this page.
Jack also learned to play 'Fetch' on his own by picking the toy up and bringing it to me. I would throw it away and he would go and fetch it. We would do it a few times until he has enough of it.
This cloth bone or multi-color rope bone is definitely a very good toy so I definitely recommend that you get one for your dog instead of those plastic or raw hide toys.
