A man, whose dog was attacked by a golden retriever, was bitten on his thumb when it turned on him.
This was reported in the newspaper as follows :
There was no further details given on what could have provoked the dog attack but it is quite unusual as Golden Retriever dog is normally quite friendly.
In short, just need to be careful when you are walking your dog in public and hopefully, you will not have such an unpleasant accident.
Take care!

Actually Golder Retrievers are common players in dog bite scenarios involving both other dogs and humans, both here in Australia and also overseas.
As a professional applied canine behaviourist I can assure you that these dogs often exhibit very problematic aggressive behaviours.
Some of this is to do with poor breeding, but much of this is to do with inadequate early training and poor management/ownership.
The breeding of dogs for conformation show success has a large part to play in the problems this breed faces, as it is a working dog that is not bred based on the working ability of the dogs involved...as with GSD's, Rotts, Labradors, BC's, etc.
